Alpaca and Guanaco Livestock
We aim to provide you with the information that you may require about two of South America's camelid species: the Guanaco and the Alpaca. Esgyrn is an organic farm on the west coast of Wales in the United Kingdom. It has been home to these animals for over twenty years, since the early 1980s. We have a breeding herd of over 300 guanaco and a smaller breeding unit of 30 brown and black Hucaya alpacas.
We have always believed in sustainable farming with an emphasis on the animal’s welfare and the health of the ecology of the farm. We have been licensed as an organic farm since 2000 we are currently licensed with Organic Farmers and Growers and keep comprehensive breeding records.
